Understanding Verification Badges

Every response in GlyphChat includes a verification badge. Here’s what each badge means and how to interpret them.

Badge Types

Verified (Green)

What it means: Most or all claims in this response were verified against our knowledge base.

What you’ll see:

  • Green “Verified” badge
  • “X/Y claims verified”
  • High confidence scores (typically 70%+)

Trust level: High - the AI’s response aligns with verified knowledge.

Warning (Yellow/Orange)

What it means: Some claims couldn’t be verified, or confidence is mixed.

What you’ll see:

  • Yellow/Orange “Warning” badge
  • Some claims verified, some not
  • Mixed confidence scores

Trust level: Medium - review the individual claims for more detail.

Warning (Red)

What it means: Most claims couldn’t be verified against our knowledge base.

What you’ll see:

  • Red “Warning” badge
  • Few or no claims verified
  • Low confidence scores

Trust level: Lower - doesn’t mean it’s wrong, but we couldn’t verify it. Consider fact-checking important claims.

Unchecked (Gray)

What it means: Verification didn’t run (usually a technical issue).

Trust level: Unknown - the AI response hasn’t been verified.
