Understanding Verification Badges
Every response in GlyphChat includes a verification badge. Here’s what each badge means and how to interpret them.
Badge Types
Verified (Green)
What it means: Most or all claims in this response were verified against our knowledge base.
What you’ll see:
- Green “Verified” badge
- “X/Y claims verified”
- High confidence scores (typically 70%+)
Trust level: High - the AI’s response aligns with verified knowledge.
Warning (Yellow/Orange)
What it means: Some claims couldn’t be verified, or confidence is mixed.
What you’ll see:
- Yellow/Orange “Warning” badge
- Some claims verified, some not
- Mixed confidence scores
Trust level: Medium - review the individual claims for more detail.
Warning (Red)
What it means: Most claims couldn’t be verified against our knowledge base.
What you’ll see:
- Red “Warning” badge
- Few or no claims verified
- Low confidence scores
Trust level: Lower - doesn’t mean it’s wrong, but we couldn’t verify it. Consider fact-checking important claims.
Unchecked (Gray)
What it means: Verification didn’t run (usually a technical issue).
Trust level: Unknown - the AI response hasn’t been verified.
