Usage Limits

Understand how message limits work in GlyphChat.

Message Limits by Plan

How Messages Are Counted

Each message you send counts as 1 message. AI responses do not count against your limit.

Example:

• You ask: “What is the capital of France?” → 1 message used
• AI responds → 0 messages used
• You ask a follow-up → 1 message used

Total: 2 messages used

Checking Your Usage

1. Go to your Dashboard
2. View the usage bar at the top
3. See “X of Y messages used this month”

Or go to Dashboard → Usage for detailed history.

When Messages Reset

Messages reset on the 1st of each month at midnight UTC.

What Happens at the Limit

When you reach your message limit:

1. You’ll see a notification
2. You can still view past conversations
3. You won’t be able to send new messages until:
   • The next month starts, or
   • You upgrade your plan

Tips for Managing Usage

For Free Users (25 messages)

• Use for important questions
• Try the service before upgrading

For Basic Users (200 messages)

• About 6-7 messages per day
• Great for regular personal use

For Plus Users (500 messages)

• About 16 messages per day
• Power user level

For Family Users (1000 messages)

• About 33 messages per day
• Heavy usage covered

Upgrading for More Messages

Need more messages mid-month?

1. Go to Dashboard → Billing
2. Upgrade to a higher plan
3. Get your new limit immediately
